We have discussed at length the 5 critical needs required for humans to survive AND thrive on MARS:

• FOOD
• WATER
• ENERGY
• SHELTER
• AIR

Each of those items needs to be either brought to Mars (VERY expensive) or found and/or processed there on Mars.

STEP #1

In two to three well crafted sentences, explain where your community on Mars will obtain each of those critical items (a bit of research is required there)

STEP #2

Here's the fun part: You will construct a "web" of interdependencies that shows how each of those critical items depends on other of those critical items.

Be thoughtful!

You should use software for this. There are lots of "Mind Map" type software out there. You might also want to take a look at the Lucidchart flow chart add-in available on Google Docs.

I've started you off HERE. Make sure that each line and text are the same color as the the critical item it comes from (I'll demonstrate that for you this morning)
